Dr. Sanjiv Kumar Gupta, Doctorate of Medicine, has 10 years’ experience in super specialty, state-of-the-art tertiary care centres. He manages independently various cardiac issues including interventional procedures viz., Primary Angioplasties, all types of simple and complex angioplasties, pacemakers, Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillators (ICDs) - a small pager-like device that prevents a patient from dying due to a heart attack, IVC filters {an Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) Filter is a small device that can stop blood clots from going up into the lungs}. The inferior vena cava is a large vein in the middle of your body. The device is put in during a short surgery, pericardiocentesis {Pericardiocentesis is a procedure done to remove fluid that has built up in the sac around the heart (pericardium). It is done using a needle and small catheter to drain excess fluid. A fibrous sac known as the pericardium surrounds the heart. The fluid is tested for signs of infection, inflammation, and the presence of blood and cancer}
